Sow in full sun in well-drained soil, 2.5–5cm deep and 5–8cm apart. Space rows 45–60cm apart and provide climbing support. Germinates in 7–10 days; harvest when pods are deep purple and plump, around 65–100 days. Eat shelled and cooked.
