Activity ALL ABOUT ME! Objective: • To celebrate individuality, and to learn about likenesses and differences. • To instill the thought in children that they are special in their own way. Duration: 40 minutes Materials Required: ‘All About Me’ Worksheet, Crayons or Pencil colours, Glue, Charts. Pre requisite: Teacher to keep her ‘All about me’ worksheet ready and filled. Activity: Get all your children to fill in their ‘All about me’ worksheet. Make sure you fill in your own sheet! Once all the children have completed the sheet, play the me too activity! Me Too! Rules: •

Start the game by naming one of your favourites (Eg: My favourite colour is blue) by reading from your all about me sheet

Children who share the same favourite (in this case, Blue colour) raise their hand and shout “Me Too!”

The child who is first to give the ‘Me Too!’ then gets the chance to name his/her favourite.

The cycle continues until all children are involved in some way.

The facilitator plays the role of a vigilant observer and announces interesting observations if any (“Looks like all of us like Blue colour”, “Oh, only child ABC likes violet! That’s great!”)

Wrap up:

The facilitator wraps up the session with points such as •

Items that are clear favourites among all

Children who share the same aim

Items that are favourites only to a few
