An Open Letter to My Community

the tricky transition from wide-eyed sixth graders to freshman equipped with the fundamental skills of learning. Thank you to Del Norte for raising the game. Thank you for taking those skills and developing students who are not only prepared for college, but for life. Thank you for expecting a greatness from your students that has created a reputation among colleges. I didn’t realize the power of the name Del Norte until college admissions started rolling out. s I write my final article as the Nighthawk Insider, I’d like to acknowledge the many people it takes to truly launch a Nighthawk from its nest. It takes a village. The village I leave behind is filled with teachers, parents, friends, carpool moms and dads, and the faces of people that make 4S Ranch home. Thank you to every elementary school teacher and staff at Stone Ranch. Thank you for lightning rod multiplication tests that seemed extraordinarily challenging at the time, and every holiday craft that will be displayed for years to come.
