L
ocal eighth grader Angela Ramos has an amazing passion for softball. She was recently nominated as one of the top 100 softball athletes in the nation by United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). “I am blessed to have been selected to be one of the USSSA Select 30 from those top 100 athletes. I received a ‘Superbowllike’ ring for that achievement. I am so proud to say that I am one of the products of 4S Ranch Softball League,” revealed Angela, who plays shortstop, third base, and outfield. She is currently playing with Athletics Mercado travel softball team. According to Angela, this organization is helping her get noticed by college recruiters. Angela hopes to receive a college scholarship for softball and is leaning toward becoming a student athlete at UCLA or UCSD. “It would be awesome to study to become an anesthesiologist at one of these schools while also being a part of their softball team,” stated Angela.
