POWAY’S PEE WEE RAIDERS HAVE UNDEFEATED SEASON
P
oway’s Pee Wee Raiders Pop Warner football team played in the Best of the West Championships in Santa Clara in December, defeating the Santa Clara Panthers (22-0) and finishing their season undefeated (13-0). The Raiders were invited to play in the Best of the West Championships following their November victory over the Valley Center Jaguars (30-6), making them Palomar Conference Division 2 Champions. The Raiders scored a total of 412 points while surrendering just 107 points in the 13 games of the season. The team is led by Head Coach Jason Gonzales, Assistant Coaches Sean Steinhour, Richard Ambuehl, Dave Dunn, Wences Juarez, and Dominic Figone, Business Manager Randon Foley, and Team Moms Debye Castleberry, Erica Inderwick, and Trish Tsay.
Team players include: Aidan Aboujaoude, Carson Ambuehl, Colin Book, Chase Castleberry, Carmelo Chapman, Brison Craft, Mbong Ekiko, Ifiok Ekiko, Eric Grant, Raiden Gonzales, Luke Gonzalez, Ryder Harding, Marcus Hogue, Landon Inderwick, Samer Issa, Wences Juarez, Benjamin Koziner, Nathan Lam, Ian McCurdy, Christian McGowan, Paul Midlam, Jonathan Noble, Conner Rath, Kaden Speer, Michael Steinhour, Jaden Tagulinao, Gabriel Taylor, Owen Tsay, Ashton Zakar, and Dylan Zinmeister. Poway Pop Warner (PPW) is a football and cheerleading program for children ages five to 14. PPW is committed to providing all participants with the opportunity to develop their leadership, sportsmanship, and athletic skills in a fun learning environment, while also encouraging academic excellence.
