Madonna Announces Global Tour

‘Material girl’ Madonna has announced her Global 40th Anniversary Celebration Tour which could well be her last, sadly.

The Queen of Pop, now aged 64, has had four decades of hits and the sure to be sellout 35 city destination tour begins on July 15th 2023 in the US and comes to the O2 in London from October 14th – October 18th if you are lucky enough to get a coveted ticket.

This is her first global tour since the ‘Madame X’ tour in 2020 which didn’t have any of her old songs from the best-selling albums ‘True Blue’ and ‘Like A Prayer.’

Many pundits are saying it could be her last world tour as Madge approaches her 65th birthday in August.

Live Nation, organising the tour, is selling tickets for London O2 shows starting at £93 now at www.livenation.co.uk.

BIEBER SELLS CATALOGUE FOR $200M

Justin Bieber is the latest in a line of musical artists to sell his back catalogue of music in a deal worth a reported $200m (£162m).

He is not alone in this quest for money, fast! Other artists include Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Blondie who have also made the ambitious move selling rights to their songs.

Justin Timberlake, our cover star, made £75.5m from selling his back catalogue last year while Springsteen was the biggest earner at £350m.

Bieber, aged 28, is also only tied in for 290 title songs released before December 2021 and he can still earn more money and royalties from any music released post this date with his label at Universal Music Group.

Congrats Bieber and British music house Hipgnosis Song Fund which are now the proud owners of Canadian star’s back catalogue.

Fergie Back In The Fold

Sarah Ferguson, affectionately known as ‘Fergie’ is back in the Royal Family’s good books having been officially accepted by Queen Consort, Camilla Parker Bowles.

According to reports, Fergie the ex-wife of controversial royal Prince Andrew and mother to Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, has become a good comfort and friend to Camilla and has been invited to royal events and family gatherings at Sandringham.

A source said: “Camilla likes Sarah. They’re both gentry. They share a love of horses and Fergie will be smart enough to play the game with Camilla and realise she is the power behind the King.”

When Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were alive these meetings never happened and the fact that Fergie has been a stalwart to Camilla and supported her ex-husband Andrew through his tough times of late, has seen her come into a more positive light.

Fergie was unfairly nicknamed the ‘Duchess of Pork’ by tabloid press in the 1980’s and vilified over a toe sucking paparazzi shot with her ex-boyfriend that made the front pages of numerous newspapers.

She has definitely made a full and dignified comeback!

Welcome back Fergie.

Britney Worries Fans

Britney Spears, 41, is back in the news again this month for all the wrong reasons.

This time she posted a pic of herself half naked and then deleted her Instagram account after confessing her love for ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

She also changed her name from ‘Britney Spears’ to ‘Red River’ shortly before deleting the account on the 24th January.

This behaviour on top of her snapping two full frontal nude pics of herself lying in the bath has worried fans. In the snaps she had her hands over her chest and a tiny pink flower covering her modesty.

Fans are saying that she may not be coping well with her new-found freedom. It was only in 2021, the 13-year conservatorship that had been hanging over Britney was finally lifted by the LA Courts.

Prior to this her father Jamie had controlled every aspect of Britney’s life.
