Police Beat

The Police Department’s new Community Initiative Custard with the Cops in conjunction with Rita’s of Surfside was started in April. Chief John Healy, Captain Antonio Marciante, Officers Frank Colonna and Ronald Donoso, Executive Assistant to the Chief Dina Goldstein and Officer Mike participated in the event.

Surfside, Aventura, Bay Harbor Islands and Sunny Isles Beach Police Departments hosted a biannual MultiAgency Collection Day (Shred-a-Thon and DEA Drug Takeback) on April 22, 2023 at Bill Bird Marina (Haulover Park). Officer Ronald Donoso and Parking Enforcement Officer Alain Acosta participated in the event.
