Why I became a Ram for Life “My lifelong loyalty to VCU began when the university adopted me at 17 years old. At that age, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, but at the university, I was encouraged and nurtured to live out my dreams and accomplish Mary Kane and Bill Beville more than I ever thought possible. Whether it’s being involved with the RPI Alumni Council, collaborating with my lifelong friend Dick Robertson (B.S.’67/MC; H.L.D.’05) or contributing to the VCU Athletic Fund, I’ve been involved with the university for the past 60 years.
