Abbie and Jacinta did it their own way In the morning, they arranged firstlook photos in the rainforest, and their dogs Hank and Millie played a major role in the ceremony before cocktail hour on the patio under huge skies (all drinks can be BYO)
An extravagant pizza truck provided for tipi dining before cake and dancing under the Milky Way Like most of our couples, Abbie and Jacinta stayed for three nights to enjoy the farmhouse, rainforest walks and Glasshouse Mountain views On day one, they enjoyed setting up (we have all the tables, chairs, wine barrels, etc, you need) Day two was the Wedding Day, and the third was spent enjoying walking the rainforests, relaxing in the sauna and indulging in leftover wine and pizza in the wood-fired hot tub. Of course, Hank & Millie stayed with them for the whole weekend That’s the thing with Maleny Orchard- you can design your wedding however you want!
Have you ever heard of the 25/5 rule? This rule applies to wedding days (and maybe shopping for an outfit) In this blog, I’ll explain the 25/5 rule and how you can use it on your wedding day to have a stress-free day!
So, what is the 25/5 rule?
The rule accounts for things that typically take 5 minutes in real life and will take 25 minutes on a wedding day It also means that 25 minutes on a wedding day will feel like 5 minutes You may have heard people say over and over that your wedding day will fly by Well, this rule proves that it really does!
I have attended more weddings than the average person! I can say with certainty that typical 5-minute tasks can derail your entire wedding day if not given proper time Whether getting into your dress, pinning on a buttonhole when the magnet requires an extra pin to hold it in place, or adding extra speeches, little things that may not seem like a big deal can take much more time than you’d ever expected Thus, the 25/5 rule!
There is an easy way to combat this, but it takes some prep!
The best way to make the 25/5 rule work for you and not against you is to have a solid wedding day timeline and a plan to follow it I often see couples believe they can squeeze in family photos, bridal party photos, and some photos of the two of them within an hour before or after the ceremony Truthfully, that is not the case You have to plan for enough time to get the photos you want and account for things like a family member running behind, your veil falling out, or a bridesmaid forgetting her bouquet Believe me, something unexpected always pops up on a wedding day!
When planning your wedding day timeline, consider all the things you can realistically plan for That includes time for you to get into your dress, any first look you’ll be having, when the first dance will take place, etc This isn’t meant to create a rigid wedding day It’s really the opposite! Planning your day as best as possible will ensure you capture all the little moments you don’t want to miss because you didn’t plan correctly!
So there you have it! Being aware of the 25/5 rule is half the battle going into your wedding day Once you know that small things can lead to big lapses, you can plan to handle those situations

With the help of Wild Heart Weddings, Simply Style Co, Willow Bud, and a handpicked team of talented suppliers the couple's vision for their dream wedding became a reality
The lawn ceremony consisted of mini aisle gardens and a whimsical broken arch design that was then moved to the barn to frame what was already a fantastic cake. There was feature lighting and the most beautiful organic floral installation hanging from the ceiling, it gave the reception space the wow factor
The couple along with their guests enjoyed a delicious meal from Penfold's catering with signature cocktails and a dessert table of edible art from Marina They ended their night with a outfit change, a choreographed first dance and made memories with their loved ones that will be spoken about for years to come
