In September Sotogrande played host to the GC32 Racing Tour, an international circuit for state of the art foiling (aka flying) catamarans. Capable of speeds of over 40 knots (75kmh), GC32s are among the fastest sailing yachts in the world and attract top competitors including Olympic medalists and round-the-world race winners. The event was won by former Match Racing World Champion Adam Minoprio and his NORAUTO crew.
