Laurel Highlands & Gettysburg featuring 2-night stay at 5-star resort

Day 1: Indianapolis, IN Depart for an overnight in Indianapolis, IN . D

Day 2: Nemacolin Woodland Resort Enjoy the splendid fall colors as we make our way to Farmington, PA located in the colorful lower Laurel Highlands nestled in the Allegheny Mountains. Check into the luxurious Nemacolin Woodland Resort, a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond lodging, for a two-night stay. Afterwards we’ll enjoy some fine dining at the Nemacolin Resort. D Day 3: Frank Lloyd Wright home Enjoy a breakfast and free time at the Nemacolin Resort where you may wish to take a shuttle to some of the several attractions available at the resort such as the multi-million dollar Hardy Family Art Collection, The Wildlife Academy of Nemacolin , or visit the spa. Or you may choose to visit the nearby Fort Necessity National Battlefield. (Optional activities may involve cost). This afternoon enjoy a guided tour at the Kentuck Knob home, an architectural masterpiece of the 20th Century, by America’s most famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Visit the Christian Klay Winery before dining at a local historic restaurant. B, D Day 4: Gettysburg, PA Depart mid morning to tour Gettysburg’s newest museum, Seminary Ridge Museum, the very site where the First Day Battle, July 1, 1863 took place. Enjoy a colonial style meal at the Historic 1776 Dobbin House Tavern which was used as a station on the Underground Railroad. Overnight in Gettysburg for two nights. B, D . Day 5. Gettysburg, PA The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War and the setting for President Abraham Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address”. Today we’ll have a guided tour of the Shriver House Museum from attic to cellar and learn what families experienced in their homes during the Civil War. Also, visit the David Wills House, the home where President Lincoln stayed the night before he gave

the Gettysburg Address.
