COUNTRY MANAGER MESSAGE Wishing our Sunrider friends and family both near and far a very healthy and happy 2021! 2020 was undoubtedly a challenging year for many people around the world; we are hopeful that you, your family and friends are joyous in the year to come. We are thankful for the support from all of our Independent Business Owners (IBOs) and Authorized Business Owners (ABOs) of Sunrider Malaysia. We unite and rise to the occasion against all odds. Despite dealing with many versions of Movement Control Orders implemented by our local government, we persevered, moved forward, and unprecedentedly exceeded our yearly sales target that broke historical records. We set a new record with the highest number of recruited IBOs, new active IBOs, Preferred Customers, and Retail Customers. We celebrated many “first” milestones in 2020: our first-ever Country Summit, Anniversary celebration, and social media live sessions on Sunrider Day. In addition, to those milestones we revamped and improved the corporate store in Kuala Lumpur to provide the best experience possible for all Sunrider customers and IBO’s. Looking forward into 2021, we are excited to announce an increased focus on coaching and training for our IBOs. We have developed clear and consistent training schedules which include virtual events, online training, and live workshop sessions all to support our IBOs and Preferred Customers growth. All of these remarkable accomplishments would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our corporate team and the leadership from our regional and senior management teams. Achievement in “Direct Selling Digital Momentum Rankings”
In partnership with Transformation Capital, Direct Selling News recently announced the November 2020 “Direct Selling Digital Momentum Rankings,” with Sunrider breaking into this elite “Top 50 List” ranking as the 21st. November marked the second release of the Digital Momentum Rankings, which has generated considerable excitement in the direct selling community since its creation in October. The purpose of these rankings is to evaluate and acknowledge the companies experiencing significant growth in their online presence within the 30 days in that particular month.
According to an article in the Direct Selling News website, the ranking methodology focuses on three primary drivers of online presence: web traffic, Facebook activity, and Instagram activity. About a dozen metrics from these three sources are aggregated and assessed “for their change over the last 30 days in an attempt to measure the growth in a company’s online audience or momentum.” Sunrider’s robust and growing online presence is driven by a social media line-up that includes Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

3 Strategies to Build a Better Business Whether you have just signed up as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) or have been a long time IBO, at some point in time you may arrive at crossroads of fear or confusion. Here are 3 simple strategies to embrace your fears and build a better business.

BE FEARLESS
Have you ever joined a network marketing business but stopped short of reaching your full potential because you were afraid? Did you fear meeting people and rejection; anti-MLM people who will run once word arises that you are in MLM? Confidence is the key to easy communication and success. To be confident is to recognize your limitations. Overcome your fear of communication by working towards it. Establish your goals and a method with which you can achieve it. Have a mindset that your decision to build the Sunrider business would also lead to your success. Find your big 'WHY' that made you build the business. Think of how that Big 'WHY' would help fulfil your dreams. Be open to feedback and constructive criticisms and remember that the road to success has its ups and downs. If success does not find you at the end of the day following your sales presentation, learn new ways to ensure that the next day will be better! A successful salesperson recognizes that the same approach does not work all the time; one must adapt to different clients. Tell yourself: “It is not their fate to use our brilliant products” then move on to the next prospect.
BE DECISIVE
At times, you may find yourself confused on whether you should sign your prospects up as Preferred Customer (PC), IBO or Retail Customer to give them maximum benefits. To determine which, remember that if it is consumer material, becoming a PC would be the best option for saving on their spending with 5-10% off purchases and free shipping for a total above RM400. Signing prospects up as a PCs is essential for maintaining your monthly required PV necessary for your bonus and qualifications. If you sign up your customers as IBOs, and they don't purchase their minimum 200QV monthly, you will not make your bonus from them. PC can also take advantage of the Host Rewards Programme, which provides a lot of perks towards saving up for their purchases. They can do this by simply leveraging their network to be invited to your parties. There they can get free product credits, 50% off selected products and free courier charges. How do I know my prospects can be IBOs? The rule of thumb is to not make the decision for them. Rather, explain all the benefits of PC vs IBOs and let them decide. PC is a great option for those looking to get a discount on their favorite products and IBO is better suited to those interested in building a part-time business with low start-up costs and an income stream that flows continuously. Even if your friend decided to sign up as PC, there is no need to worry as they can always convert to IBO once they feel ready for it!
BE ADAPTABLE – MARKET TO DIFFERENT SEGMENTS
Conventional business is simply about selling to the customers: open a coffee shop and wait for the customers to come. In Sunrider, we approach business differently. When working with Sunrider there are two goals to keep in mind: to reach for new customers and to build your IBO network. Your marketing strategy has to target two different markets: people drawn to your products and potential business builders. Doing well in both is a sure way to accelerate your climb up the Sunrider Career Ranking. Furthermore, popularizing your products will make it more appealing for people to join you as a potential business builder. It is mutually beneficial. By gaining more IBOs, you will have more people to help advertise your Sunrider products. Often, we tend to focus solely on one market in finding potential customers as it is something we have grown used to doing. Instead of sticking to our comfort zone, we should also focus on finding business builders. You may wonder why we do this when sponsoring PCs and IBOs fulfil a similar role and contribute to Sunrider incentive points? Well, imagine this: if your team is comprised entirely of customers, who will you have left when you're no longer able to service them? Your entire organization will crumble! In contrast, Sunrider employs a Direct-Selling strategy to our business concept that differs from conventional business. One of the unique points of Direct Selling is the continuous passive income that can be inherited. The secret to having a continuous future income flow lies in sponsoring more business builders like yourself! Doing so will allow them to duplicate your Selling, Servicing and Sponsoring ideas to enlarge your network. In addition to this, you will have better success and create a more stable organization for the long run.
