Sutton, and Marcus Verbrugge who placed 7th. Girls’ Track & Field brought home 1st place finishes from Butler, Lone Jack, Bishop Miege, Excelsior Springs, and Higginsville. They also placed 1st in the Crossroads Conference and 2nd in districts. State qualifiers were Adriana McGregor who placed 9th in the 800m, April Phillips finishing 9th in the long jump, and Keyler Quessenberry with a 16th place finish in the 3200m. April Phillips also brought home All-State honors as she placed 2nd in the high jump and 4th in the triple jump. Baseball continued their run of strong success and dominance in the conference. They finished 1st in the conference again with a 6-0 record which extends their conference winning streak to 51 games, a winning streak that started in 2015. With lots of young talent, this program is on the rise and the future looks bright.

As always, we appreciate our teams’ accomplishments on the field, but even more, we appreciate the way they represent our school and Christ with their attitudes and character during competitions. 2021-22 was a great year for the athletic department, but we can’t wait to see all of you back in August for the start of fall sports! Competitions start the week of August 22!
