The primary purpose of the Sulphurnet Liquid Sulphur Filter (LFS) is to remove contaminants such as, ashes and bitumen that might plug the catalyst mass. The removal of solids contaminants also decreases maintenance cost and improves the operation of the burners. Reduction of contamination also reduces the acidity of the sulphur. The Sulphurnet LFS is designed for clean sulphur operation, preventing leakages, corrosion and operation difficulties.

Filter leafs
Filter Leaves are the heart of the filter system and therefore the most critical part of the Liquid Sulphur Filter. Good filtration performance begins with quality filter leaves. Sulphurnet.com offers various designs of filter plates for all brands of liquid sulphur filters. Standard filter leaves consist of several layers of mesh, the inner mesh coarser for a free flow of the filtrate and the support of the drainage and filter layer. We offer two types, 5 layer and 3 layer filter plates for liquid sulphur filtration: 3 layer filter leaf Support

Drainage 2 layer mesh 8 * 8 Filtration 2 layers media 24 * 110 The 5 layers are mainly for the better support of the filtration mesh. The meshes are fitted in a box-closure frame which can be welded, bolted or riveted. All filter leaves have a filtrate discharge outlet nozzle. This can be equipped with a single or dual “O�-ring construction for a leakage free sealing.
Alternatively we offer a specially designed STURDY and durable filter leaf. The filter leaf is of a bolted type construction and can easily can be re-meshed at site. The STURDY filter leaves are made of fully welded perforated sheets. The filter plates are designed for free drainage and low pressure drop. The life time of the filter leaf can be up to 20 years. The higher investment cost leads to reduction in operational cost.
We offer filter leaves for all makes of pressure leaf filters. Wire mesh on roll for on site re-meshing is also available.
Design Data All liquid sulphur filters are steam jacketed, all nozzles and quick-opening closure rings are steam jacketed. Hydraulic systems are used for opening and closing the filters. DESIGN
All equipment is designed according ASME VIII and will be supplied with or without “U”-Stamp. Design pressures can be from 5,5 bar and more, design temperature 175ºC.

Materials of Construction applied in liquid sulphur filters is mainly carbon steel.
OPTIONAL
Optional equipment as cable carrier for steam tubes or automation can be applied.
