I am a PR professional with a strong background in writing, media relations, crisis communications and social media in the tourism and non-profit sectors. Birdsall Voss & Associates (bvk), PR Account Coordinator  Secured placements on behalf of the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) in top tier consumer and travel outlets, including Brides magazine, LATimes.com and a FoxNews.com story named “Best Online Feature” in the Caribbean Travel Organization’s 2011 Media Awards.  Manage the BTB’s press trip program, including vetting requests, securing visits from top journalists and building itineraries.  Ran group press trips in Belize with writers from top consumer and niche outlets, including AOL’s Slashfood.com.  Help manage international crisis outreach and monitoring, including during and following Hurricane Richard and a subsequent jaguar escape.  Head up “Belize in Love,” the BTB’s romance initiative; Belize named #1 up-and-coming honeymoon destination by Brides magazine.  Assist with development of client proposals and campaign strategy.  Collaboratively research, brainstorm and draft proposals for new business.  Train, coordinate tasks for and review work of Intern.
