Kevin March Kevin’s works have been performed in North America, Australia, and Europe by Opéra de Montréal, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, New York City Opera, and numerous chamber ensembles and soloists. His works have been featured in the Metropolis New Music Festival and the 7th Sydney Biennale. Awards include first prize in the 3MBS National Composer Awards for his orchestral work Kambarang and the Dorian La Gallienne Prize for Ophélie. His works have been broadcast on radio and featured in the ABC National documentary Modern Muses: The Greeks and New Music. He holds a Doctorate from the University of Michigan where he studied with William Bolcom, William Albright, and Michael Daugherty.

Michel Marc Bouchard Lilies (Les Feluettes) is the first opera by playwright, screenwriter, and exhibition curator Michel Marc Bouchard, whose more than 20 plays have been translated into over 15 languages and performed all over the world. A recipient of the National Arts Centre Award, the Chalmers Award, the Dora Mavor Moore Award, the Primo Arte Candoni (Italy), the Prix de SACD (Paris), and the Lambda Literary Award (New York), he is an Officer of the Order of Canada, Knight of the Order of Quebec, and a member of Quebec’s Academy of Letters. His plays Les Feluettes, Les Muses orphelines, L’Histoire d’oie, Les Grandes chaleurs, Tom à la ferme, and Christine, la reine-garçon have been adapted for the screen. He is currently developing his second opera, an adaptation of Christine, la reine-garçon (The Girl King) for the Canadian Opera Company.

There will be be an intermission after Act 1. The performance is approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes in duration, including intermission. This performance contains brief male nudity. The production and designs for Les Feluettes were originally created by Opéra de Montréal and Pacific Opera Victoria for productions in 2016 & 2017. Edmonton Opera is a professional company operating within the jurisdiction of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.
