BIOS FARREN TIMOTEO
Prince Herbert, Not Dead Fred, Historian Farren is an actor, director and writer. At the Citadel, he directed the Young Company’s production of Pippin and acted in A Giraffe in Paris. Other acting credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for Western Canada Theatre (Kamloops); Waiting for Godot for Wishbone Theatre; The Scent of Compulsion, Mother of the Year and A Rocky Night for His Nibs for Teatro La Quindicina; Early Bloomer for Concrete Theatre; Assassins for Studio Theatre and Little Shop of Horrors for Mayfield Theatre. Farren’s directing credits include Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, Hansel and Gretel and Little Red Riding Hood (each of which he also co-wrote) for Alberta Opera; The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (co-directed with Van Wilmott) for Mayfield Theatre; The Infinite Shiver and Everybody Goes to Mitzi’s (for which he also wrote the lyrics) for Teatro La Quindicina and The Be Arthurs: Reunion Tour for the Edmonton Fringe. Farren is the Artistic Director of Alberta Opera and an Artistic Associate for Teatro La Quindicina. Farren resides here in Edmonton with celebrated actress, Patricia Zentilli, and their incredible two year-old son, Leonardo.
JOHN ULLYATT Sir Lancelot, French Taunter, Ni Knight, Tim the Enchanter Earlier this season, John appeared as Elyot Chase in Private Lives. Last season at the Citadel, John appeared as Biff in Death of a Salesman, and The Rocky Horror Show as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. He has appeared in memorable Citadel productions such as Billy Bishop Goes to War, Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, A Christmas Carol, The Drowsy Chaperone (co-production with the National Arts Centre), The Wizard of Oz, Doubt, a parable, Cabaret, The Pillowman, I Am My Own Wife, Stones in His Pockets and The Mystery of Irma Vep. Recently, John was Dr. Madden in Next to Normal (co-production with Theatre Calgary), Billy Flynn in Chicago at the Mayfield and directed Firefly Theatre’s Operation EVAsion. John is a founding member of Firefly Theatre – Edmonton’s unique circus theatre, with whom he created and performed in Duck Duck Bang and Primordial Blues. He is also a notable street artist whose works include The Human Fountain and the 21st Century Gargoyles.
