BIOS MERRAN CARR-WIGGIN Alice
Merran is thrilled to make her Citadel debut with A Christmas Carol. Previous theatre credits include The Subway Circus and Bonnie & Clyde (Blarney Productions); Everyone We Know Will Be There (Tiny Bear Jaws); The Comedy of Errors (Theatre Calgary); and Othello (The Shakespeare Company). For the Edmonton Fringe, Merran co-produced and starred in Gruesome Playground Injuries (BrainPile). She starred in the hit Sterling-nominated production, Princess Confidential, and the sold out sequel, Princess Confidential: Familiar Melody (Promise Productions). Merran also co-created and performed her production For When She Wakes for the SkirtsAFire Festival. Recent film credits include Love of my Life and Happily Ever After (Paragraph Pictures); Fantasies of Flying (Tribal Alliance); and the award-winning short film, Pumpkin (Be Nothing Productions). Merran graduated from the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting program.
JEREMY CRITTENDEN Mr. Swidger/Mr. Topper
A participant in the Citadel/Banff Centre Professional Theatre Program, Jeremy is proud to be back at the Citadel for his third season in A Christmas Carol. Originally from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Jeremy now lives in Toronto with his dog, Sebastian. Theatre credits include The Three Musketeers and Little Women: The Musical (Citadel); Avenue Q, Altar Boyz, Cabaret and Miss Saigon (Arts Club); Spelling Bee and The Life Inside (Belfry); Mary Poppins (WCT/ Persephone); Anne of Green Gables (Theatre Calgary); Avenue Q and Spamalot (Stage West); Amadeus (Chemainus); and Thank You For Being a Friend (Joseph Patrick). Jeremy has won a Jessie Award, multiple Ovation Awards, and has garnered two Calgary Critics Choice nominations.
