Kung Fu Elliot Meet Canada’s first kick-ass action hero. Elliot “White Lightning Scott”, an eccentric martial artist, dreams of becoming Canada’s answer to Chuck Norris with his low budget karate epic, Blood Fight. Kung Fu Elliot spans two years in the lives of this passionate amateur filmmaker, his supportive partner Linda and their outrageous cast, all of whom will stop at nothing to realise their dreams. As the film delves deeper into Scott’s personal life, it presents a complex portrait of a man who may not be everything he purports himself to be. The winner of Best Documentary at Slamdance Film Festival 2014, Kung Fu Elliot is a funny and equally compassionate exploration of the divide between our dreams and the reality of the hand that fate can often deal us.

Unfailingly earnest and moral without ever slipping into dogma or preachiness, Kung Fu Elliot’s exploration of the lengths people will go to escape reality, and the emotional collateral damage they leave in their wake has a lot of staying power to it.
