That’s where the Davenport Park Hotel comes in. Weddings are our speciality and with over 30 years of experience, our family of experts are on hand to help in the planning and enjoyment of your perfect Wedding day, advising on all the options available and most importantly at this expensive time, the likely cost involved. We realise how special this day is to you and to help in the initial planning stages of your day we have produced this guide to help suit every taste and budget. One of the most important things to establish at the outset is the number of guests you will be expecting. With this rough guide in mind you can then view and choose from one of our individual suites for your reception party.

For more intimate receptions our cosy Restaurant offers superb Carvery dining for up to 40 guests.
The Corbar Suite The largest of our suites. The airy feel of the Corbar Suite is ideal for larger parties and evening functions of up to 200 guests. Can also be combined with Saddlers Restaurant to cater for up to 250 guests.
The Tudor Manor Suite With its charming ‘Olde Worlde’ atmosphere the Tudor Manor Suite is ideal for parties of up to 170 guests.
All our suites offer a private bar with late license until 1.00am.
Civil Wedding Services We are able to offer the option of holding your Civil Wedding Ceremony at the Davenport Park Hotel. Our charge for this service is £180.00. Additional charges will be made by the official Registrar. For more information on legalities and procedures involved with a Civil Wedding please enquire with our team.
Booking Your Wedding Once the choice of Suite and type of Ceremony is made, booking couldn’t be easier. Just confirm your date with by paying a deposit of £200* and start planning. Once your booking is confirmed the services of one of our highly experienced managers are available at all times to provide advice and guidance and to answer any questions you may have.
The Table Plan The layout and seating is individual for every Wedding, and the best table layout for your Reception will depend on the number of guests attending. Round tables are popular, giving a less formal impression and allowing partners or families to sit together. Longer tables are more formal although allow for more flexibility in numbers. When devising a seating plan it may be beneficial to group together guests who know each other or who have the same interests or age group.
*Please note that in the unfortunate event of a cancellation your deposit is only refundable if the suite is re-booked for an alternative party.
Choosing Your Catering Want everything done for you? We offer a fully inclusive Wedding Package for your afternoon reception which includes everything you need for a traditional Wedding Breakfast.
Want to be individual? No problem! Our Banqueting, Buffet and Wine menus are available separately and we are happy to work with you in choosing the right combination to ensure you get the Wedding reception of your dreams!
The Toasts & Speeches There are traditionally two toasts. The first is the privilege of the Brides Father who, after an introduction by the Best Man, is the first to make his speech and his toast to “The Bride and Groom” The Bridegroom then responds on behalf of himself and his Bride, making his speech and adding his own toast to “The Bridesmaids” The Best Man then responds on behalf of the Bridesmaids and makes his own speech. It is then his duty to read out selected messages of congratulation – usually from those unable to attend.
Wedding Extras Once you have chosen your catering and drinks it’s time to turn your attention to entertainment. Do you want to supply your own entertainment or have it provided for you? Do you want a Disco or live music? Here at the Davenport Park Hotel we are happy to accommodate your own entertainment – free of charge – while the services of our Professional DJ’s can be arranged through the Hotel at a charge of £170.00 (subject to change, please enquire at time of booking)
Contacts are also available for additional services such as Flowers, Balloons, Wedding Favours, Room Dressing, Chair Covers and a Toast Master.
Chocolate Fountain Hire Our 18” Chocolate Fountain * is available for hire as a fun addition to your evening buffet. Your guests will be delighted to sample the molten chocolate smothered over their choice of delicious dipping foods. Hire Charges: £55 plus £1 per guest
* Please note that our Chocolate Fountain is not as large as commercially hired models. These can be hired separately at additional cost if desired.
