Campuses and Facilities • £12m technology centre, a working electronics lab, computer aided design suites and well equipped science labs. • Fully commercial restaurant, Taste, run by trainee Hospitality & Catering students. • Professional hair salon featuring all the latest equipment run by trainee Hairdressing students. • Aurora Provision, specialist non-residential FE centre for young adults with moderate to severe learning difficulties. • Enrichment room with PCs, Xbox, Wii and PS3 games consoles, table tennis and pool tables. • Advice Centre providing careers and counselling support.

Your Study Programme If you are aged 16-19 you will join a study programme to prepare you as an individual for your next step in either education or your future career.

• Your main qualification – for example BTEC diploma at Level 1, 2 or 3. • Employability Skills – opportunity to develop skills and knowledge required by employers through work experience, Employability Weeks and Conferences. • English and Mathematics – if you do not have Grade 4 in Maths and English, it is a national requirement to include these in your study programme. • Enrichment – opportunity to get involved in College life through a whole range of events. • Tutors – tutorial system with accessible College Student Support services. 8

Vocational Courses Explained

Our vocational qualifications included as part of your Study Programme run from Level 1 – Level 3. Check our website for individual courses for the subject areas listed on the next page.

• Developed in partnership with awarding bodies to ensure students learn the skill relevant for their industry. • Different levels ranging from Pre-Entry to Level 8 (Level 2 is equivalent to GCSEs while Level 3 is the same as A Levels). • Widely recognised for admission to Higher Education/University – a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma graded at D*D*D* is equivalent to three A*s at A Level in UCAS points.
