Charles Cleghorn Ltd are the UK Agents for the CaviBlaster Underwater Cleaning System. The system harnesses super-cavitation energy, providing an effect that removes hard and soft marine growth from submerged steel, concrete, wood, plastic, composite and rubber surfaces and structures. It does not damage the surface being cleaned, and will not disturb paint and antifouling. This avoids contaminant release into surrounding waters. The cavitation plume penetrates the fouling, lifting it from the surface without pulverising. There is no risk of harm to the operator if contact is made with the cavitating stream. CaviBlaster systems can be supplied with either internal combustion engines, or electric motors. All machines supplied by us are CE marked and machines can be supplied with DNV approved frames. All the machines are supplied with a balanced-thrust hand gun for diver operation, or with an ROV-attachable nozzle. Recent development allows supply of balanced-thrust nozzles with machines supplied for mini-ROV work. An option is also now available for a twin rotating nozzle dome for cleaning large expanses such as a ship’s hull.
