But a recent survey from Clearswift revealed that more than half of employees do not understand the value of company information. The survey showed: • Half of employees don’t understand the consequence of company information loss • Half of employees have access to company IP that they themselves deem is above their pay scale • Lack of understanding is apparent in the boardroom too, where the value of company information is poorly understood • Senior managers also fail to see the threat. But perhaps the most worrying revelation is that over a third of employees stated they would sell private company data for the right price.
