CONTINIOUS ROTATION AT FULL PRESSURE Stresses in coflex hoses caused by rig movement results in wear and fatigue, which can lead to a reduced working life or even failure. To serve the industry better Sub Sea Services has developed and patented a high pressure swivel. This is a rotating connector, which is used to hook-up the fixed P-line pipe to the coflex hoses. The innovative swivel is pressure equalized and can rotate continiously in both directions with minimum torque at full working pressure, which means that stress levels are minimized and working lives extended.
