LOVELY HOLIDAY MEMORIES

for the whole family

Happy days, when everyone is enjoying themselves and the only question is how much ice cream you can eat each day. Åland is easy-going, safe and full of experiences!

Actually, all it takes to make the whole family happy is sun and a place to swim. Sand beaches for families with small children and, for the older kids, a diving platform is just the ticket. Fortunately, there are plenty of beautiful swimming spots all over Åland. You can choose a new one every day, while also getting the chance to see more of the countryside. And, the distances between places are so short that you’ll never spend much time getting there.

It’s even more convenient if you choose to go swimming in an outdoor pool. Käringsund Resort in Eckerö is the perfect spot for those wanting everything in one place - and preferably all-inclusive. Just buy yourself an activity bracelet and take a dip in the sea, hang out by the pool, play a round of miniature golf, head out in a pedal boat or take part in any one of the many activities on offer. There is even an activity forest to explore.

UP AMONG THE PINES at Vårdö, you’ll get your adrenaline fix and tackle a variety of serious challenges at Flowpark. On the dizzying adventure course, you’ll make

your way through challenging obstacles and keep your balance through ropeways. At the highest point in the course, you’ll find yourself 15 metres above the ground, but there are also courses with lower heights and three different levels.

Åland is also currently a paradise for disc golfers, with 11 courses to choose from and several more planned. Disc golf is free to play, and you can even play multiple courses in a single day. Combine the 18-hole course at Geta with a lunch break at Soltuna, followed by a hike to the Getabergen caves or the children’s favourite, the Trollstigen tell-a-tale trail.

KIDS ARE SURE TO have the time of their lives with all the trampolines and inflatable attractions at play parks Palleralla and Leklandet. The Smart Park for families, with its Spark Laser Arena, is also sure to please. In addition to these, many museums offer activities for children.

The Game Safari is yet another exciting way to spend your time. Take a guided tour out into the game park and see red and fallow deer, wild boar, ostriches and llamas up close and personal. A new attraction this year is a horse-drawn carriage ride at Nygårds Skogsgrisar pig farm in Sund together with Åland Expeditions.

AND, THE ANSWER to that ice cream question is naturally: As much as you want!

An outing with a tasty bite to eat is always appreciated. In addition to the beaches, it’s also fun to stop in at a cosy little café or a museum with a flea market, such as Nybonds at Krogstad or Önningeby Museum in Jomala.
