Account Information



Moodle This is a digital platform to review the curriculum, submit coursework, and interact with other distance learners. Check Moodle frequently for due dates and to track your attendance. To log on, navigate to the Stratford homepage (http://www.stratford.edu/) and scroll down. Click “New Moodle Login� to begin. Student Email The university email is administered through Microsoft Outlook. Make sure that you have access one week prior to the start. Student Log-In Contact the Service Desk: servicedesk@stratford.edu for any IT concerns.

Adobe Connect Similar to Skype and Google Hangouts, Adobe Connect is a web conferencing tool. Students are required to complete online sessions each quarter. Log-in information will be delivered to your Stratford email account.


Textbooks

Policies & Resources


Attendance Policy To be counted for attendance, online students have to submit some form work by the end of the week (Sunday at midnight, Eastern Time). This includes significant contributions such as composing drafts, attending Abode sessions, or making a post on the discussion boards. Please note: If you have not submitted coursework for three consecutive weeks, you will be withdrawn from the University.

FAQs



How do I log into Moodle/Self Service? An activation email is sent to new students. The Log in for Moodle and Self Service will be the same. For help, contact: servicedesk@stratford.edu. How do I pay for my tuition? Visit Student Accounts at your local Stratford campus and pay with cash, check, or credit card. Payment can also be made through Self Service: Service Portal. How do I get textbooks? To order: Ed Map Bookstore. For help, email textbooks@stratford.edu. I recently moved. Where can I update my contact information? Self Service is where you can edit your name, phone number, mailing address, and other personal information. I don’t have access to the internet right now. How can I complete my homework? Starbucks, Panera, McDonalds, and the local library are among the many public places that offer free WiFi. How can I register for the next quarter? Register online through the Self Service portal. Classes are available approximately one month before the new quarter. If you need help with registration or class selections, contact Matthew Sprouse at msprouse@stratford.edu.


How will my attendance be counted? As distance learner, your attendance is counted based on weekly online submissions. Check due dates and contact your instructor as soon as possible if you are unable to complete work. If you are marked absent for three consecutive classes, YOU WILL BE WITHDRAWN. I need assistance with a personal issue or an issue in one of my classes! Contact Matthew Sprouse, Student Mentor at msprouse@stratford.edu for assistance with personal issues. How do I find my final grades? View grades and access unofficial transcripts in Self Service.
