Golf can sometimes become just a little too complicated – which is where El Higueral comes in. Committed to “making golf easy”, the course has been designed to maximise players’ enjoyment.
Located on gently sloping terrain in picture-postcard mountain foothills, the course is a nine-hole, par-36 “resort” layout that is part of Marbella Golf Resort and Marbella Club, the luxurious hotel complex on the nearby Golden Mile. The fun-filled El Higueral experience is enhanced by stunning features and vistas, and attractively-styled lakes. It is just a two-minute drive from the N-340 road that connects Marbella town centre and Puerto Banús, towards Benahávis.
Golfers who have built up an appetite after their round (especially two trips around the course for a full 18 holes) can continue on to Benahavís village, popularly known as the “dining room of the Costa del Sol” due to its extensive array of restaurants and tapas bars.

Well, if they are one of the millions of Severiano Ballesteros fans, that is, because this was the first course designed by the Spanish maestro on the Costa del Sol – and his second in Spain (after Novo Sancti Petri on Cádiz’s Costa de la Luz).
Set on scenic mountain slopes high above Marbella (but in Benahavís municipality) on the road to Ronda, and opened in 1991, Los Arqueros was created to follow the contours of the land and blend in harmoniously with the natural surroundings – and to reflect a little of Seve’s lustrous golfing philosophy on each hole.
In addition to an iconic golfing experience, golfers can also enjoy a range of other excellent facilities including tennis and pádel courts, a gym, a bowling alley – and Seve’s Kitchen & Bar.
