INTRODUCING THE FOUNDERS BEHIND THE

STRAND PROPERTIES REAL ESTATE CONCEPT

Sirena and Anssi Kiviranta were two of the founding partners of a very successful Finnish real estate concept Bo LKV. They participated in growing the business from scratch to a company of 200 employees and €23M turnover in less than five years. A capital investment company acquired the majority of Bo LKV in the autumn of 2019. In mutual understanding, the Kiviranta couple had the chance to start a real estate agency abroad under their own brand. The couple’s Finnish investment company Kiviranta Group Oy has established a Spanish subsidiary, Strand Properties in 2020.

– We have a strong passion for changing the traditional real estate field, but this time we’re doing it abroad. Everyone who has read real estate ads on properties in the Costa del Sol area has surely noticed that more often than not the properties are sold with insufficient information and poor-quality images and almost always without a floor plan. In Finland, a real estate agent has to truly get to know the property and is also responsible for drafting the deeds of sale. In Spain, the agent’s legal responsibility is practically non-existent, and many are saying that the real estate business in the Costa del Sol is like the Wild Wild West where everyone hustles in their own way. For us, Spain is an interesting new environment in which to bring the real estate business into the 2020s, and a significant opportunity as the market is ten times bigger than in Finland.

Strand Properties offers services to both sellers and buyers. Through their partner networks, the number of brokered properties goes up into the thousands, and Strand Properties can help customers find the right property by carefully charting the customers’ wishes and using a learning property search service. For the sellers, the brokerage concept focusing on quality offers the fastest selling times and the best possible selling price.

– We want to bring more reliability, transparency, and insightful marketing to the real estate business in the Costa del Sol. Most of our agents speak multiple languages fluently and have been successfully operating in the field for a long time. Many of the Strand Properties real estate agents have been the best salespeople in their previous jobs. We offer our agents a genuinely encouraging commission model with no monthly fees, and our agents operate independently under our brand. Strand Properties also offers a service concept for building developers, where the visual layout, modelling images, and marketing materials are created for the new building.

BRINGING SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN TO SPAIN

In addition to traditional real estate brokerage, the Strand Properties concept also includes the import and sales of carefully selected Scandinavian products in Spain.

– We bring a breeze of Scandinavian design to Marbella. All the furniture and materials at our premises represent products that can be bought through us for your property. We also include these products in the images of the properties we’re brokering, which gives them great exposure. Property buyers, sellers and developers receive discounts on the products we represent, which brings strong synergy to these business activities.

Finnish design is represented in the selection by brands such as Timberwise, BEdesign, Drop Design Pool, Tablebed, and Woodio, which was awarded the Design Deed of the Year prize in the autumn of 2019. All of these also have the Design from Finland label. We also represent e.g. Ballingslöv kitchens as well as Massproductions, Fogia, Kasthall, and Carl Hansen & Son furniture and products.

The Strand Properties premises which cover a 500-square-metre business space and a terrace area and are located in the attractive Puerto Banus known for its high-end stores, offer our customers an opportunity to take a look at the products.
