Scholarship Opportunities

A scholarship at St Peter’s Girls’ School could open the door for your daughter to nurture her curiosity and challenge herself to achieve her best.

Academic Scholarships

Students entering Years 5 to 11 are eligible to apply for our Academic Scholarships. Applicants are required to sit the annual Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) scholarship examination.

Music Scholarships

Each year, a limited number of Music Scholarships may be awarded to students entering Years 7 to 11 recognising outstanding talent. Applicants are required to submit formal documentation and audition as part of the process. Applications are considered twice a year.

OLD SCHOLARS’ ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, an Old Scholars’ Association Scholarship may be awarded to a student entering Years 5 to 8. This scholarship is awarded through to Year 12 to a prospective student who has proven all-round ability. Additionally, the applicant must have a connection to the School through a family member having attended St Peter’s Girls in the past.

PRINCIPAL’S SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are awarded to external students entering Years 7 to 11 who have a strong academic record and a proven ability to perform at an elite level in an extra-curricular pursuit; for example, State-level sport or outstanding achievement and leadership in Performing Arts. Auditions are conducted for applicants shortlisted for the Performing Arts.

International Baccalaureate Scholarships

St Peter’s Girls offers two entrance scholarships to external students who wish to undertake the IB Diploma. The IB Scholarship is awarded for Years 10, 11 and 12 or Years 11 and 12.

Winifred Preedy Scholarship

After completing her education at St Peter’s Girls in 1919, Winifred Preedy became the second South Australia woman to graduate from Dentistry, paving the way for an illustrious career. Today, the Winifred Preedy Scholarship for 100% remission of school fees is our most prestigious scholarship, awarded to the top performing applicant for an Academic Scholarship.
