Good Father, Bad Father

24 The weather on Father's Day was much more pleasant than the heat of Saturday. The McKenzies were in place at the Peace Valley Baptist Church. Alfred and Judy Thomas were in church also.

Pastor Smallings preached a simple, but touching message titled: “Is Your Load Too Heavy?” He started out with the words of the song, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

What a Friend we have in Jesus All our sins and griefs to bear; What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer.

Are you weak and heavy-laden?

Cumbered with a load of care?

Precious Jesus still our refuge Take it to the Lord in prayer.
