The man to bring this ‘civilization’ to Mexico was Juan de Grijalva who discovered Mexico in the year 1518. So it seems the Mayas anticipated his coming. The amazing fact is that the years 1518-1526 also happened to be Venus transit years! Eventually Hernando Cortez set foot on Mexican soil in 1519 and conquered the Aztec empire.
