About Forgotten Felines With rescue centres becoming full to bursting with cats that are disabled, street or feral cats, or even those that have been abused, spaces become limited. As people rush to adopt kittens we try to promote the “other cats that are in rescues, sanctuaries and abroad that desperately need help and, most importantly, loving homes. Having disabled cats ourselves we know how rewarding their love can be. Our intention is promote those cats that are passed by when people visit rescues, the ones that hide, the ones that look ill, the ones that
hiss and the ones that have been so badly neglected trust will take years to rebuild. We hope to change people’s opinions and stereotypes about cats with feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), to help people see the cat rather than the virus, and to embrace the many years of life that they could share.
