Make Victorian Peg Dolls Wednesday 22nd August Traditional toy workshop to create your own peg dolls.

Make 3D Fuzzy Felt Friday 24th August

Using felting wool create different 3D items, from pictures frames to necklace beads there’s something for everyone! (Wet activity, recommended for ages 7+)

Dress to Impress! Wednesday 29th August

Dress your own cut out knight or lady in traditional clothes, decorate their different outfits and see if there are any similarities to what you wear? Also in the Museum: Meet the Time Bandits at the Museum as they explore the history of weapons and armoury. Visitors will have the opportunity to try on real armour.

Make a Trinket Box Friday 31st August

Decorate and make a beautiful trinket box like those in the Museum, to keep your precious little things in! Please note: Our children’s workshops are suitable for ages 5+ (unless otherwise stated); younger children are welcome however they will need some help from their adult during the workshop. All materials are included unless otherwise stated. Please be aware that for drop-in workshops, when the session is full, tickets will be issued for the later slots. Making MORE Mess! Under 5s Club Tuesday 31st July, 7th August, 14th August, 21st August & 28th August. Times: 1.00pm - 3.00pm Each week there will be a messy craft, story and play time based on a different theme around the new Museum & Garden displays.
