Theatre as a Game!
For many years, our school has offered a wide range of extracurricular activities for our students. One of them is theatre, which over time has increased its number of groups and levels to provide performances both in Catalan and English.
A common goal and a very similar mindset have been the key to carry out an idea that the teachers in charge of the activity had been thinking through for some time. The fact that this idea combines different proposals, educational levels and even languages has not stopped us from working on this common and rewarding project. The basis of it has been the teamwork and also the fact that our students know each other pretty well after all these years. The three proposals from the three levels have been introduced at the same time and we have prepared the idea of cooperating in staging together.

The play tells the story of a group of children who find themselves located in a library. There, the youngest ones try to convince the others to tell them the stories they like. There’s no better place than a library to develop an assorted and enriching plot.
The dialogues, scenery, characters and plot have been prepared and agreed by the whole group during the different encounters we have had along the year. This cooperative project meets everyone’s needs and welcomes every single contribution. Thus, we have achieved our goals! Our proposal contains different stories with a common threat and 43 happy students starring in the show.
“All together: Hansel and Gretel, The Wizard of Oz and Sing!” is the title of our creation, product of students and teachers working together towards the same direction. We are so excited to share it with you all, classmates and families, the next 19th of June.
