At long last, STEPHEN PAYNE’s debut novel Cliff Walking has been released and is available. The book, and Steve, have garnered excellent endorsements, including from Vermont’s celebrated novelist, Howard Frank Mosher, who said: “Stephen Russell Payne has emerged as a new voice in Vermont’s impressive pantheon of creative writers, and a powerful one. With his first novel, he has written a dramatic story of suspense, love, and redemption. Cliff Walking is written with clarity, passion, and great sympathy for, and understanding of, all aspects of human nature.” A portion of any profits from sales of this book will be donated to worthy causes working to end spousal and child abuse. Stephen and his wife, Marietta, practicing physicians, live in St. Albans, Vermont.
