TEDxStGeorge Is Coming Live to Tuacahn Amphitheatre

TEDxStGeorge brings exciting TED-worthy content to the desert’s majestic beauty for an unforgettable night of original talks and performances under the stars. “TED talks are short, impactful speeches about ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’ that are experienced online three billion times annually,” explained Jami Lah, creative curator and Executive Director of TEDxStGeorge. TEDxStGeorge’s inaugural Main Stage Event will gather ten to fourteen leading-edge thinkers and doers from all walks of life to give short talks designed to provoke thought, educate, and inspire change. They look for people who are specialists in a variety of topics, including education, science, relationships, art, new technology, innovations, entertainment, health, and wellbeing. TEDxStGeorge will help propel ideas not only in southern Utah but globally. “Tuacahn is honored to be the home of TEDxStGeorge,” explained Tuacahn’s Marketing Director Stephanie Finck. “It will be an experience and a night to remember!”
Over the past ten years, Lah and her team have organized over twenty-five events in Cincinnati, San Francisco, and Shanghai, China using volunteer experts in speaker coaching, marketing, social media, graphic design, curation, and multi-media production. The team has worked with 225 speakers, and their talks have millions of views on the dedicated TEDx YouTube Channel.
As the curator, Lah creates experiences that make people go wow. Her goal is to amplify and expose people’s ideas from inside this region to the rest of the world as well as bring thought leaders to St.George. “I love connecting people and amplifying their stories,” she said. TEDxStGeorge is thrilled to have the support of the St.George Chamber of Commerce and is excited to partner with other local businesses. TEDxStGeorge looks forward to being part of the spring concert series at Tuacahn Amphitheatre. Series tickets go on pre-sale in September at Tuacahn.org for their Broadway season package holders. Individual tickets for TEDxStGeorge will go on sale in December. Save the date!
