On his dam’s side, Quinar carries the valuable jumping blood of the legendary stallions Almé Z and Calypso I. Quinar’s break-through came in 2003 at the Holsteiner stallion selection, where six of his sons (Quin’s half-brothers) were sold for the astronomical amount of 665,000 euro. In 2009 his daughter and Quin’s half-sister, Quinthago Z, won the World Championship for 5-yr-olds. Quin Cardo’s dam, Mycarda, is sired by Corofino I. He is one of only a few stallions to receive a score of 10 for his 25 | 2013 SVS Sport Horse Auction & Expo

jump at the Holstein 100 day test. At the age of four he was the winner up to the M class in Germany before he was exported to Italy, where he had a brilliant International career. He had a very impressive international show jumping record. A few achievements include: winning the National Grand Prix at Gorla Minore (twice), and placed at Vermezzo, Trucazzano, Predazzo, and San Remo. He also placed in International competitions at Modena, Vincenza, Pinerolo, Massazza, Cesena, Gorla Minore, Arezzo, Linz, Cannes, Cervia and in one round during the World Cup Final in Milan. Corofino has proven his aptitude in the sport and his offspring continue to exemplify his incredible talent. With these fantastic bloodlines, Quin Cardo has an extremely bright future ahead of him. Quin Cardo is already showing his ancestor’s jumping technique, willingness and drive in the schooling ring. While schooling up to the 1.10m level, this young gelding is ready to prove his potential in the show ring!

Lutalo is a stunning chestnut, Thoroughbred, standing at approximately 16.3 hands. This 5 year old gelding has a bright future ahead of him as a Sport Horse. Out of C. C.’s Angel, and sired by Grand Reward, Lutalo brings loads to the table. He is a quick learner with eye-catching color, movement and presence. This Thoroughbred stunner has the characteristics to make a great competitor in the show jumping world. Legendary trainer and chef d’equipe for the United States Equestrian Foundation show jumping team George Morris is an avid supporter and believer in the Thoroughbred as a Sport Horse In 2011 he claimed, “Thoroughbreds are the best. They’re lighter, quicker and more intelligent.” There are several famous Thoroughbreds to take note of, such as Touch of Class, who was part of the 1984 Olympic Team posting the first double clear rounds in Olympic history. This Thoroughbred mare took home two gold medals, and was 29 | 2013 SVS Sport Horse Auction & Expo

named the first nonhuman Olympic Female Equestrian Athlete of the Year. Gem Twist was a world champion show jumper and is the only horse to win three American Grand Prix Association Horse of the Year titles. He earned two silver medals at the 1988 Olympics and World’s Best Horse at the 1990 World Equestrian Games. He was inducted into the Show Jumping Hall of Fame in 2002. Thirdly, the famous Good Twist, Gem Twist’s sire, was an international star. He won the Prix du Champion at Ostend in 1969, the Frederick D. Mackay Memorial Trophy at the National Horse Show in 1972 and 1973 and was part of the 1972 winning Nations’ Cup teams. Needless to say, the Thoroughbred breed speaks for itself. These horses are living up to their warmblood competitors with ease. Lutalo has already started his show jumping career, with auto lead changes and schooling up to 1.0 meter. Lutalo is ready and willing to progress with his career on the show jumping scene.

He has 100% positive approval status with European, American and Canadian registries, proving himself the only Thoroughbred in American history to accomplish this feat.

Coco Chanel’s dam is Wynette, who is sired by Chicardo, who was champion of his 2007 American Holstein Horse Association licensing, earning 9/10 in jumping and 8/10 for his trot and canter. Phoenix Dream Center The heart of the Phoenix Dream Center and one of the newest programs is the Foster Care Age Out Program. Every year in the state of Arizona 600 kids age out of the foster care system with no guidance and a high school education at best. Unfortunately, within 1 year, 50% of them will end up in homeless situations, shelters and/or on the street. Research shows that teen who transfer out of foster care situations are not very successful as adults. 40-60% of the girls are pregnant within 12 month and 55% are unemployed and those who have jobs make below the poverty level of income. The need to help these teens is great and we cannot do it alone!

Thanks to the Mark Breen, Bill Hallinan, Laurie Tocher, Beer Burros and Twisted Tree Farm, the miniature donkey “Princess Fiona” sold for record amount of $15,000 at the last auction.
