Steve G Smithwick President at Master Wall Inc. Steve G. Smithwick is the President and CEO of both Master Wall and Creative Wall Products, Inc. Both companies specialize in the manufacture and/or distribution of engineered exterior wall systems designed to provide aesthetics and environmental control between indoor and outdoor conditions. Smithwick launched Master Wall, Inc. in 1987 and Creative Wall Products, Inc. in 2005 to offer the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries a high-quality engineered wall product backed by knowledgeable customer service and competitive prices.

Smithwick has accumulated a wealth of building material expertise over the past nearly four decades, bringing the latest residential and commercial wall systems to projects across the Southeast and beyond. Steve’s manufacturing expertise in exterior insulation and finishing systems is the foundation of his success. He actively promotes engineered exterior wall systems (CIFS® - Continuous Insulation and Finish System), which can boost structures' thermal efficiency by eliminating energy loss from small thermal breaks common in traditional stud and joist systems.

In all that Steve has accomplished, he credits his strong faith and Christian values as the guideposts he follows. Construction Industry Leader Steve G. Smithwick attended Southern Technical Institute (Kennesaw State University) in Marietta, GA. In 1987, he took an opportunity to supply the industry with cutting-edge siding products that could lower the installation costs for commercial exteriors. The architectural components sold through his company, Creative Wall Products, provided a low-cost solution for commercial facades that rivaled the beauty of traditional materials, including metal, wood grain, and stucco.

The success of Master Wall, Inc. led to Smithwick launching Creative Wall Products, Inc. This second venture promoted engineered exterior wall systems that perform at a higher level than traditional cladding systems. The EIFS product line also includes textured (stucco) and specialty (wood grain, brick, and stone) finishes that are energy-efficient when combined with the company’s Division 07, Thermal, and Moisture Protection components.

The success of both Creative Wall Products and Master Wall Systems is due to Smithwick’s expertise in exterior insulation and finish systems and his business acumen, especially in manufacturing. Steve has developed strong industry relationships and exceptional labor relations with his tradesmen. He is known for maintaining a cohesive team that consistently meets project goals, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. He has grown Master Wall to include product and wall system testing and expanded manufacturing sites to multiple locations, including Stonecrest, GA, Brookshire, TX, and Payson, UT.

EIFS Cladding Expert While EIFS cladding was introduced to the United States in 1969, it became widely used in the 1970s due to the energy crisis. Its ability to provide continuous insulation, increased thermal performance, and exceptional resistance to cracking resistance was a game-changer in the AEC industry. Steve not only saw the importance of this material to energy-efficient construction trends, but he also became highly involved in EIMA (EIFS Industry Member Association), which was founded in 1981.

Steve G. Smithwick has been at the forefront of the architectural cladding industry for decades.

He previously served as Vice President of EIMA, a national non-profit technical trade association that brings together the leading manufacturers of EIFS products. In 2021/2023, Smithwick was elected as President of the Board of Directors for two years and re-elected in 2023 for an additional 2-year term, a confirmation of his passion and leadership for an industry he has been promoting for over 40 years. Steve’s expertise in EIFS cladding systems is undisputed, and he continues to advocate for thermally efficient and moisture-resistant product development across the industry.

Christian Community Supporter Steve Smithwick holds firm to the Christian values learned as he grew up in Marietta, GA, an Atlanta suburb located along the Chattahoochee River and the historic foothills of Kennesaw Mountain. In 1980, he moved his family to Columbus, GA, where he remains committed to the Christian community. He serves as a Board Member of Calvary Christian School in Columbus, GA., and served as the Head Coach for the High School Boys' Basketball team from 1998 to 2015, mentoring young men in both athletics and spiritual values.

His passion for helping the community is demonstrated in his dedication to living out his Christian beliefs. He currently resides in Fortson, GA, has been married to Donnie for 51 years, and is the proud father of four married adult children, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is an Elder and a past Board Member of Calvary Ministries. He works tirelessly on behalf of the well-being of older adults at The Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Care and Calvary Community Retirement and Living Center.
