Steve G Smithwick
Steve G. Smithwick is the president and CEO of Master Wall and Creative Wall Products, Inc. This company specializes in engineered exterior wall systems to improve buildings' aesthetic appeal and environmental performance. Smithwick founded Master Wall, Inc. in 1987 and Creative Wall Products, Inc. in 2005, aiming to offer high-quality products, dependable customer service, and competitive pricing to the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. With nearly 40 years of experience in the building materials industry, Steve has accumulated a wealth of knowledge, particularly in exterior insulation and finishing systems. His expertise in these systems has played a key role in his success. He advocates for Continuous Insulation and Finish Systems (CIFS®), which improve thermal efficiency by reducing energy loss caused by thermal breaks in traditional stud and joist systems. Steve attributes much of his success to his Christian faith, which he considers a guiding principle in his personal and professional life. His company’s mission statement reflects this belief: “To seek God’s guidance in all decisions and to give Him glory for any results.” He encourages his employees to set high standards both professionally and personally. This approach has contributed to Master Wall’s success as a leader in the Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems (EIFS) market, offering products such as air/water barriers, coatings, and adhesives. Steve attended Southern Technical Institute in Marietta, Georgia. In 1987, he recognized an opportunity to offer the building industry innovative siding products to lower installation costs for commercial exteriors. The products sold through Creative Wall Products provided an affordable solution for commercial facades, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional materials like metal, stucco, and wood grain. As Master Wall expanded, Steve launched Creative Wall Products to promote engineered exterior wall systems that outperformed traditional cladding.
