From a young age we feel the effects of sweet pleasures and new foods; we are almost hardwired to enjoy sweet tastes and exciting textures. Then as we grow up and are shaped by experiences, our taste buds mature. We can then make conscious decisions about the food we eat, being aware of the effect of food on our mood; noting the emotional and physical sensations whilst we eat. Boardmasters understands that there’s no one rule to food at festivals, but we are always happy to promote healthy lifestyle choices. It is important to pay attention to what we are eating at festivals. Whilst it can be easy to get swept up in the soundwaves and late-night beach parties, our bodies still deserve to be fuelled with nourishing food. Mindful eating is closely linked with wellbeing, which is a core value of Boardmasters Festival. There are dozens of stalls offering a diverse mezze of food and drink, handpicked to fulfil any culinary craving.
