General Sale Information â American Shorthorn Association Genetic Defect Disclaimer: Unless an animal is listed on the American Shorthorn Association âgenetic defect status listâ, the American Shorthorn Association makes no representation of any kind as to whether or not the animal has a genetic defect. Terms And Conditions: Cattle sell per the terms and conditions of the American Shorthorn Association. Announcements from the auction block on sale day will take precedence over the information printed in this catalog. The terms of payment are cash or good check (with proper identification, i.e. drivers license), as well as Visa or Mastercard, made payable to the sale clerks. If you choose to use a credit card, you will incur a 3% service charge which will be applied to the total sale cost (thus a $1,000 heifer will cost you $1,030). No cattle will be loaded until approved by the sale clerks. Health: Each animal selling will be accompanied with a state approved health certificate from its state of origin for interstate travel. Buyers should make themselves aware of the health requirements for their respective states. Bred females have been pregnancy checked safe by a licensed veterinarian. Updated breeding information will be available on a supplement sheet sale day. This sheet will take precedence over statements in the sale catalog. All bulls selling are guaranteed to be breeders. Breeding Guarantee: The Suggested Breeding Guarantee as endorsed by the American Shorthorn Association will be followed. Registration And Transfer: All animals sell with completed pedigrees or applications for registration in the hands of the sale manager. Please leave all transfer information with the sale clerks at the completion of the sale. Livestock Transportation: No cattle will be loaded until the completion of the sale. We will be happy to assist with arranging delivery of purchases to your farm or a convenient location. Announcements made from the auction block take precedence over all printed material in this catalog. Insurance will be available for your purchases at the sale through Harding & Harding Insurance Company. Contact the clerk at the time of settlement for your insurance needs. Liability: Each animal selling will be at the buyerâs risk as soon as sold. Neither the owners, employees, auctioneer, sale manager, can be held responsible for any injury or loss for those attending the sale, but will make every effort to provide for the safety and comfort of those attending. Absentee Bids: We hope you will be able to attend. If you cannot attend and would like to purchase cattle, please call one of the members of the sale management team to receive your bidders number. Embryo & Semen Lots: The buyer will be responsible for the shipping costs associated with the embryos and semen purchased in this sale.
