The Jungels Shorthorn Farms Durham Nation sale again drew a large crowd of buyers from across the United States to make their selections. This year, the Jungels firm and their guest consignors had an outstanding group of highly productive bred females along with the usual set of top quality show heifer prospects. A true feature of the sale was the great group of cow/calf pairs that led off the offering to very active bidding from the seats as well as on the phones. Congratulations to all

One of the best show heifer prospects to sell all fall. This fancy young lady has great style and the look of a great one. Out of one of the leading producing cows at JSF, this will be a leader in a breeding program for many years to come. Purchased byTaylor Gahner of McCluskey, ND. $8,250 - Lot 4a - Bred Cow - JSF April Lady 2W. A roan, horned, 2009 daughter of Jake's Proud Jazz 266L and out of JR April Lady 57K selling bred to MAV Bellringer for a March 2014 calf. A great young cow here that is the dam of the high selling Lot 4 heifer calf. This cow has already produced a top selling bull in Durhams for Denver and a top selling heifer in last years sale. A roan, polled, 2008 daughter of Jake's Proud Jazz 266L and out of RB Golden Chain 141 ET selling bred to Monoply Money for a March 2014 calf. Another of the top quality, stout made females by Proud Jazz. Couple that with the great Golden Chain female line from Rocker Bros and you have one to make a great addition to a breeding program.
