WHERE IS IT? ON THE Boards, down that little alley between 9th and 10th Streets, on the far end. WHY SHOULD I GO? CHEF/OWNER Dave Rihl is a local boy who traveled the country learning the ins and outs of the restaurant business. He returned home a decade ago and changed the Ocean City restaurant scene when he opened one of the best dining spots in Ocean City - Hula Restaurant and Sauce Company on the Boardwalk. His Hawaiian cuisine was a unique concept for Ocean City, but one bite of the homemade papaya salad dressing and you’ll know why Hula had to expand their operation a few years back. Dave’s recipe of the freshest seafood and produce, mixed
with a generous dash of Hawaiian flair and a whole lot of love makes this restaurant something truly special. Dave’s dishes are prepared using only the best ingredients (you’ll taste this immediately) and served with rice and a salad - not your everyday Boardwalk fare. And the handmade sauces take everything up a notch - you should really take some home (or order a few bottles online). Outside seating is just another reason Hula will become one of your favorite dining spots in Ocean City. Inside, everything’s clean and fresh with a casual Hawaiian decor. And the staff is a cute and charming bunch. ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW? OPEN April till mid-October.
