The collections comprise sections of paintings, drawings, sculptures and engravings by major European artists in constructive attempt to record trends, features and the philosophy of the anthropocentric European painting after 1940. Among the exhibits of the Museum are works by Hockney, Auerbach, Blake, Rustin, Andrea, Dado, Segui, Rego, Velickovic, Arroyo, Adami, Diamantopoulos, Moralis, Theofylaktopoulos, Botsoglou, Vyzantios, Christoforou and the younger Kirby, Howson, Corpet, Martinelli, Smith, Pasieka, Marrey, Missouras, Manzavinos, Daskalakis, Skoulakis, Patraskidis, Tataris, Mammel, Loutz, Bisky, Xiang, Goig..The Museum;s collection includes more than 3.500 paintings. ΜΟΥΣΕΙΟ ΦΡΥΣΙΡΑ Το Μουσείο Φρυσίρα είναι το μοναδικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Ευρωπαϊκής Ζωγραφικής στον ελλαδικό χώρο. Οι συλλογές του απαρτίζονται από έργα ζωγραφικής, σχεδίων, γλυπτικής και χαρακτικών Ευρωπαίων καλλιτεχνών μέσα από τα οποία γίνεται προσπάθεια να καταγραφούν οι τάσεις, τα πρόσωπα και η φιλοσοφία της ανθρωποκεντρικής ευρωπαϊκής ζωγραφικής μετά το 1940. HELLENIC MARITIME MUSEUM The Hellenic Maritime Museum was founded in 1949 in Piraeus. There are approximately 2,500 artifacts on display –namely scale models of ships, paintings, guns, uniforms, medals, maps, flags, nautical instrumentswhich brigs to life Hellenic maritime history and tradition from prehistoric times until today. There is also a specialized library with 13.000 volumes and rich archival and photographic material, a collection of rare maps (16th- 19th cent.) and also collection of ship building plans of Hellenic warships.
