Club President’s Vision for FCMT Filipino Club Mabuhay Toastmasters forever!

As what the Tagalog word “Mabuhay” means; Long Live, long lasting or endless. I envisioned FCMT to be a successful toastmasters club which develop competent leaders and speakers who instill the good Filipino values in the heart of every individual and to stand out as one of the inspiring toastmasters clubs aiming to support members through creating a positive learning atmosphere under the spirit of proper coordination and good camaraderie.

Dear Members of FC Mabuhay, You know what makes a toastmaster club so great? It is the sense of family.

I’ve been in toastmasters for six years and my club members are now my best friends. Embrace this family spirit and always think what is in it for us rather than what is in it for me.

I hope your club can change your life, like my club NorthPark changed mine.

Being a part of this genuine yet so humble toastmasters club is an opportunity that gives every individual member a possibility to do something that he or she want to do or have to do, or need to do; a dream to come true.

Three years back, I was just curious of what is going on inside a toastmasters club like FCMT. After my first project in Competent Communication manual, I felt at home when our mentors together with the other members and officers of the club accepted me not of any other reasons but as who I am. I felt that I found another family in FC Mabuhay.

confident through the encouragements and warm concern of each club member.

FCMT is a well-established club through the great effort of Distinguished Toastmaster Alex Ginete, Toastmaster Julie Dizon, and Toastmaster Willy Carpio who patiently motivate everyone in better ways possible for the growth of each member every now and then. My salute to these wonderful and compassionate mentors.

As a leader, I will keep the lights on until the least effort that I can do for the continuing success of FCMT, now and forever.

The first part of FC Mabuhay TMC’s 7th Annual Speech Contest (Evaluation and Humorous) last December 9, 2015 was another memorable event since the contestants were fully equipped with knowledge in evaluation and entertaining people. A grand salute to the overflowing courage of everyone to face the challenge not of competing to one another but to show that FCMT is really one of the Toastmasters clubs with competent and inspiring members and of quality; yet it was a winning night to all.

Education The Table Topics Speech and International Speech contest was held last December 23, 2015. The chairmanship of VP Education Frances Alva Pecson with the support of all was again very effective.

Importance of Table Topics -

“Table Topics is a long-standing Toastmasters tradition intended to help members develop their ability to organize their thoughts quickly and respond to an impromptu question or topic.” www.toastmasters.org Table Topics workshop in FCMT was initiated by our Assistant Area Director in Education, Toastmaster Edren Geneciran.

It was presented by Competent Toastmaster Dr. Babu Ramachandran of World Malayalee Council Toastmasters Club.

Toastmaster Dr. Babu presented the importance, techniques and some tips for Table Topics Speeches.

The best way to predict your future is to create it, this will give you much more control over what’s ahead!

Just like anybody else, stage fright is one of my biggest fear in life aside from losing hair and teeth. So I decided to join FCMT and started my journey in 2013.

My journey has been a mixture of learning, sharing and entertainment. I had great privilege working with good friends and inspiring leaders around. No doubt, I have gained great amount of self-confidence and I am so grateful to Toastmasters International and to FC Mabuhay Toastmasters Club for the opportunity. Indeed, the reward is boundless and empowering.

I dream of becoming a DISTINGUISHED TOASTMASTER in the future and I asked myself, is it possible? The answer is yes! It is my choice! The desired result I expect to achieve will depend on how serious and determined I am in convincing myself achieve my goal.

The message goes to all of us! Knowing what you want and what you are willing to do to get them will help you shape your future.
