OPEN DAY
2 Gregory Avenue, Newtown Enquires: Emma Madden 0402 314 028
Homes are not designed or constructed to withstand fires in these conditions. The CFA advises the safest place to be is away from high risk bushfire areas when the fire danger rating is high. The only way to ensure you stay safe if you live in a high bushfire risk area is to leave the night before or early in the morning of a Code Red day. In the case of a Severe or Extreme day residents in high bushfire risk areas are advised to leave early on the morning of the declared day. KEEP INFORMED Residents should familiarise themselves with their fire weather district and check the Total Fire Ban and Fire Danger Rating for that district everyday over summer. Listen to local radio stations and ABC 774AM for regular warnings. To download a Fire Ready Kit and to keep informed of fire alerts and warnings please visit the CFA’s website, at www.cfa.vic.gov.au or call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line on 1800 240 667.
