Our unique House structure and state of the art facilities ensure students’ develop a deep connection and strong pride in their school. In Years 7-9 students learn in a collaborative model in their House with teams of teachers. Learning is personalised, technology embedded and differentiated to meet individual needs and ensure every student is engaged and challenged. Our Senior Studies Program and our strong partnerships with tertiary providers and community organisations provides students with an individualised senior pathway and the essential entrepreneurship and other 21st Century skills necessary for success once they leave school. We offer an extensive STEM pathway and SEAL Program and our emphasis on student agency and leadership empowers our students to exact positive change and be responsible community members both inside and outside the school. I am incredibly proud to be the leader of such a unique and dynamic learning community and would encourage you to visit our website or contact the school to arrange a tour.

I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Principal of Hampton Park Secondary College; a diverse multi-cultural community, where all members of the College can expect to feel included and be treated with respect. My background as an educator has involved working as a leader in schools across the south east suburbs of Melbourne for 30 years. For the past four years, I have been Principal of Mount Alexander College (MAC), Flemington, challenging an education system founded on a 19th Century industrial model. I have successfully led significant school improvements in engagement and learning outcomes based on the premise that schools should work towards preparing students to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, enabling them to develop the skills that will best support them in their future. Our aim is to educate our students to learn to be critical thinkers who are reflective, self-disciplined and motivated, empathetic and socially competent with the knowledge, capabilities and attitudes that will serve them today and in their future pursuits – as leaders of tomorrow. At Hampton Park Secondary College in 2020 we are moving into an exciting phase of educational reform and a new chapter of learning at the College. Our students will select subjects by reflecting on their own passions and learning needs. Wellbeing programs and opportunities to engage with community groups will be enhanced to celebrate individuality and connections, fostering a sense of belonging and inspiring the pursuit of potential. Our values of Respect, Learning and Working Together will guide our school programs and practice within and outside the classroom.

Yarraman Oaks Primary School is a small, friendly school community where diversity is embraced, opportunities are explored and all are welcome and valued. Situated on 3 hectares, we have plenty of space for our students to play and explore and have designated Junior and Senior learning communities and playground areas. We also have our own Before and After School Care programs and a Kindergarten on site! At Yarraman Oaks Primary School, we are committed to equipping our students with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful both at school and in life. We provide differentiated learning experiences that cater for the individual needs of each student. We strive to develop strong literacy and numeracy skills in our students and also understand the importance of building their social skills. All students from Foundation to Grade 6 learn the skills of being persistent, resilient, confident, organised and getting along with others through the You Can Do It! Program. The curriculum at Yarraman Oaks Primary School also includes Digital Technologies, French, Art, Physical Education and Performing Arts lessons. Please ring to arrange a school tour or drop in to see our wonderful school. I look forward to welcoming you and your family to our school community.

Lyndhurst Secondary College is a progressive learning community focused on creating the unique circumstances for each child to experience success. As a small school, we pride ourselves on knowing each of our students well. We strategically plan to meet each of their individual needs. Teachers meet weekly in teams to discuss their students’ learning progress, as measured through a range of data sources. This allows a learning plan for each student that is unique to them. Programs such as SNIP (Student Numeracy Individualisation Program) the workshop model and Reading Block are just some of the ways we focus on literacy and numeracy instruction that is targeted to individual student’s point of need. The success of such programs is clear; through NAPLAN results such as students’ growth as well as VCE median study scores. Student wellbeing is our other primary focus. Students are offered many options for getting involved in College life, including sporting teams, lunchtime clubs/activities and performing arts opportunities. Student voice is highly valued, through avenues such as School Council, SRC (Student Representative Council) and through focus groups and forums. Our Wellbeing Team also run proactive programs for students, such as building resilience and stress management, and offer individual interventions as needed. I invite you to join us for a tour to see how Lyndhurst Secondary College can be the school of choice for your family. They run every Wednesday (no appointment necessary) at 11:00am.

St John’s Regional College, is a proudly Catholic Coeducational school which values the diverse and multicultural nature of our local community. All are welcome. Situated in the heart of Dandenong for over 60 years we are inspired by the work of our founders, the De La Salle Brothers and Presentation Sisters. Our core belief in the dignity and respect of each child in our care motivates us to provide an environment of both high support and high challenge; a place where students will learn to value both excellence and the work ethic required to achieve their full potential. We pride ourselves on knowing our students well, understanding that relationships between teachers and students are fundamental in developing confident and successful learners. To assist with this aim, St John’s has a Vertical House System, which enables us to learn more about the needs of our students through the partnership between home and school that encourages our parents to participate in their sons’ and daughters’ learning. St John’s caters for every pathway and believe that every student can find his or her place here. The spacious 29 hectare site provides for modern facilities in the learning areas of science, physical education, arts and technology all underpinned by the use of information technology throughout the curriculum. We cater for a variety of different student pathways through a broad range of VCE, VET and VCAL programs delivered both internally and externally with local TAFE providers. I invite you to visit St John’s Regional College to see what our College has to offer.
