CALISTHENICS is a fantastic sport for developing strength and grace, improving flexibility and deportment, building self-confidence and making friends for life. Calisthenics is a team sport and girls of all ages from four years old to adult are encouraged to come and be part of the Narre Warren Calisthenics Club. The club offers the first three lessons in February 2014 for free to new members to try it out. Gymnastic movement, combined with manipulation of rods and clubs and the grace of aesthetics, incorporating elements of ballet, offers girls so much variety. This, along with singing and dancing, makes it a well-rounded sport. The coaches are qualified, bright personalities who bring out the best in pupils and always encourage personal development in a very positive and supportive environment. The club has had a very successful 2013 and the girls won many medals at local competitions. The highlights were the juniors and intermediates winning state titles in their respective divisions. The seniors came overall runners up at state titles and at Ballarat and the masters won the Barwon competition. The gorgeous Tinies and Subbies worked so hard, had great success
