GARDEN

CharlesDameron

God of surprising love, You have called us to be your treasures by helping meet the needs of others. Forgive us when we seek to obtain treasures instead of being them.

You have called us to be like mustard seeds that grow into mighty shelters for those who feel abandoned.

Forgive us when we seek to shelter ourselves from the world’s needs.

You have called us to be like yeast which causes dough to rise so we can nourish God’s people

Forgive us when we are concerned only with feeding ourselves.

You have called us to be like nets, cast into the sea, gathering people to God. Forgive us when we choose to stay on the shore.

You have placed your hope and trust in us.

Please help us not to fail you and forgive us when we do. Amen.

AssuranceofPardon Charles

Our God fulfills the promises God has made. We have confessed our sins.

God has forgiven us. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
