Full of creative and musically talented students, the choirs and orchestra groups continually strived to improve. Sophomore Will Gooding raved, 'We're doing a lot better than the beginning of the year because people have started trying harder to perfonn well. Ms. Finnegan is awesome and definitely confides in the upper orchestra giving us the confidence to succeed." Junior Jenn Kater agreed. "Since I've moved into the upper orchestra, I have improved. One of our shining qualities is how we work together not just as an orchestra but as a family." With eight choirs, two of which were

student directed, the vocal perfonners continued to rake in the awards and honors as well. The jazz ensemble T ake Note sang at the lighting of the Christmas tree at the \Vhite House. With the Patriot Singers Superior rating at the District Assessment, and the 1's earned by the Wind Ensemble and the String Orchestra, once again the school was awarded the distinction of being a VMEA Blue Ribbon School.
